Dishonored: A sweet symphony by Respheal Dishonored: A sweet symphony by Respheal
Love is a distant aroma at best,
A withering smile that's stuck deep in your vest,
At night air it wraps its fingers around,
Your body it shakes from the now distant sound,
Of the sound of her voice,
A sweet symphony, played over and over
Until you are free.

I get in character when I play video games. I mean, really, really in character. So I'm not kidding at all when I say I will--and have!--level entire armies for this child. One of my strongest memories of this game is gripping the doorknob in my hands, dark vision on, seeing the figure beyond the door with her head on her knees, and praying--praying--that it was Emily.

After every subsequent mission, I would speak to no one until I had visited with Emily, threatened Piero with death most foul if I caught him peeping on her, and collected the sleep darts people seemed to throw at me.

I really don't want to do a high chaos playthrough. But I love this game so much.

No, I don't know where his mask went! I forgot to draw it and I dun wanna.

Edit: After submitting this, I was thinking that the colors were too dark and it was just one giant blob of dark. So I changed things around to show the lineart more.

Corvo is the best dad in the whole world. These two and his relationship with Jessamine melts my damn heart. I always wondered whether Emily is going to find out that Corvo is her dad or whether she knew it all the time.

I doubt that she knew, but will probably have found out before the sequel :D

Did anyone else just see red when Daud slaps the Emperess away after she tries to protect Emily?
Good or evil I always want to rip him apart when I see that.

Dishonored is my favorite game it was so fun doing the low chaos run. The ending song and the end itself were the best

I loved playing Dishonored, too. It was so satisfying to rescue Emily :D

I played twice, one high chaos, the other low chaos. The latter outcome is so much better, that's for sure.

The above pic symbolizes the motivation that kept corvo going.

Its not only you. dishonored moved me too. I played through high chaose at first...did not know about chaose and endings back then...but the whole motivation was the same mostly. Save Emily..that was the thing that kept me going. Played like call of duty at first..guns and guns and guns. Got to see both of high chaose endings. In one I did not save her, which was difficult to do and then I redone it immediately....had to save her. revenge was a thing at first...but by the time samuel scolded me I knew I deserved it. Did not kill him like others.I deserved it. Its surprising how much characterization has been done in this masterpiece of a game.
The low chaose playthrough was far more entertaining(Ghosted till flooded district)..This time I had two save Emily AND Callista.

However, killed Daud in both endings..(just spared once to see what he says..then again loaded and killed him.) The heart had not forgave him and Killing has to have a consequence. He cant just say Sorry and walk away. Not with killing, and that kill caused a lot of death as well. He had to pay for it.

Killed haveloc as well. Just because he killed the Servants....he had to pay for the consequences.

I spared Daud, myself.  I thought that being forced to live with his guilt was a better punishment than death.  As for Havelock, I was going to spare him.....  But when he tried for a surprise attack after he gave me the key, all bets were off.  His animation is my favorite, by far.

I feel you. Throughout the entire game, it was hard not to slaughter everybody at the Golden Cat, at the Hound Pits or at the Lighthouse. I felt very fatherly throughout the entire game.

I thought it was cool how Corvo played hide and seek with her at the start of the game :)

I think the canon Corvo's actions are like in the trailer. Killing people when needed to, like the guard he drop assassinated, he didn't have the time to knock him unconcious and couldn't let his target escape. When the three guards ran in after he killed his target he could've killed them like the three guards at once before. But he used Blink to escape because he didn't want more blood on his hands than necesary. It would still be low chaos, as there were only six people killed by him in the trailer, and for low chaos you need more than half the people of the level still alive.

I'm in the middle of the game, and I've grown fond of her already. Right now, I ran all around the Hound Pits Pub looking for her and I couldn't. I got so worried.

Emily is at the Lighthouse tower. She'll Draw things for each of the endings if low chaos she draws Corvo w/o his mask with the word daddy in it.The other is Corvo with his mask and sword walking through a pile of dead bodies(possibly overseers) in the Hgh Chaos.

OMG TEH FEELZ :iconcomebackplz:

I love it when people touch on the key point of the game: protecting emily and her future, since she represents the future of the entire city.

The entire empire, not just the city. The city is the empire's capital.

Thank you for making a picture that made sense with the game. I hated its publicity, 'cause it always mislead people to think it was only about killing. Even the slogan was silly: Revenge Solves Everything. How the hell can revenge solve anything, if it creates more problems in the end? Even this game made fun of its own marketing; it's better than what it's publicity hints at.

I know what you mean ;v; I get really in character, too. To a point where while I'm playing I'm going through every emotion I imagine the character is.

Just finished it on a high chaos rate ;n; I want to redo it ASAP just to get the happy ending ;3;
Respheal Featured By Owner Oct 29, 2012  Hobbyist Digital Artist
Man, I don't think I could do a high chaos run. There's no way. Just Samuel's reaction at the end would make me suicide or something. The happy ending is so worth it.

But I didn't even know I could put on a BAMF persona before playing this game. I just loved it.

Doing it on low chaos as we speak, the baaaaad things that happened are haunting me ;3;

This is deffinetly my second favorite game, right after the Assassin's creed series.

I hope there's more Dishonored games, I really hope there's something about Corvo's past.

Dishonored gave us all a small picture of what it means to be a parent, I think.

I love it, very emotional, very focused and paints the relationship between Corvo and Emily nicely. She really was what carried the story for me, it was impressive how strong of a relationship the two had with little to no spoken dialogue between them.

Thank you very much. This game, I think, really had me on an emotional roller coaster and I wanted to convey that a little.
